Finding a "clear" ice rod blank might be impossible. Solid glass ice rod blank are made via a fiberglass pultrusion method (see [
www.youtube.com] ) and then ground to the action/tapper/power requested. Do to the fibers and resins used, a clear blank while not impossible, is cost prohibitive. Therefore, solid glass ice rod blanks are opaque, not clear. Then then are coated (ie black with an orange tip) to keep the fibers from getting into your hands.
Mud Hole offers many solid ice rod blanks that can the sanded to provide an opaque solid glass blank then you could clear coat one. A couple of white coated blanks that might meet your needs:
