I was wanting to remove reel seat and cork grip from rod without damage to blank or reel seat.

The method I use is: Place the reel seat portion of the rod in a Ziplock bag to keep it dry (only necessary if it has a wood insert) then submerge it in boiling water for 10-15 minutes. This should soften the epoxy enough to remove the reel seat. You may have to do this a couple of times if it is stubborn . The cork grip will not be salvageable. This works quite well on fly rods! Be careful not to twist to hard or you may compromise the blank.

Maybe I'm less patient but I use the spiral cut with a dremel, if you aren't worried about salvaging the reel seat. For me it's just quicker and easier. Rod bond is tough stuff and may take you several sessions with the boiling process, although it does work as Phil described.
