From a durability standpoint, how well do electrostatically flocked grips hold up to heavy use and rod holders?
Are there any companies that specifically cater to the rodbuilder where we can send our grips for electrostatic flocking? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/30/2012 07:36PM by John E Powell. Re: Electrostatic flocking / flocking service

They're pretty tough if done properly. You can do nearly as well with the mini-flocker gun. The only real difference is that the fibers don't all hit the surface at the same angle, although you'd be hard pressed to tell it when the person doing the flocking follows the instructions correctly.
[www.rodbuilding.org] Flocking in and of itself does not make the grip more durable, however. The same things that will cut or scar a cork grip will cut and scar a flocked grip. .................. Re: Electrostatic flocking / flocking service

I d on't think ant thing will hold up much in rod holders [ rod holders are hard an the handles are soft somewhat so the softest thing takes a beatting ] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
