If that's an issue for you, remove syringe empty, draw air into the syringet, insert back into bottle, invert bottle, push air into bottle and THEN draw desired amount of epoxy. This is the same method used to draw vaccines, etc. from a sealed vial with an airtight rubber lock. I don't have a problem with drawing epoxy from the bottles, without having to use such a method. After all, the bottles aren't airtight since ever time you remove the syringe, it gets to draw air through the opening. Re: epoxy mixer

If your bottle is so full, with no air inside that you can only draw out 2cc, that's ok. Draw out your 2cc and the next time you should be able to draw out 4cc. After that, theoretically, there would be no further issue. The bottles have plenty of air inside them to prevent this from happening.
I've never experienced what you describe. Re: epoxy mixer

I get a kick out of this. I was the first person to use syringes for mixing two part finishes. I turned Ralph O'Quinn on to them and he ordered a bunch of syringes that had a bird beak like curve to them. I told Ralph they wouldn't work very well but he put them with his Dura-Gloss anyway. He soon came to realize that a standard syringe would work better. If you are one of those who puncture the lid of your epoxy and then try to withdrau it, remover the syringe, then pull backe the plunger to get air in the chamber, the inject air into the bottle, then withdraw the amount you need. Holding the syringe upright, (tip towards the ceiling) very slowly push out the air. See what you have in the barrel, and then match it with the other syringe that you have done the same thing with from the other bottle, One part A, One part B. Make sure both are identical in the chambers, if not inject the overage back into the appropriate container. It is that simple. Re: epoxy mixer

Bill, try squeezing the bottle as you draw the epoxy into the syringe. Turn the bottle upright and when you remove the syringe the bottle @#$%& in air. You can also remove the syringe from the hole in the cap, pull the plunger back, stick the syringe back in the hole, press the plunger, invert the bottle and draw the epoxy into the syringe. Its a lot simpler than it looks typed out. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
