slicing epoxy and then finish

So I got a piece of lint in my epoxy on my third coat over the label area. I need to deliver this rod in the next couple days before Christmas. I am worried about sanding because the epoxy will not be cured hard enough to sand. The question is if I slice the lint out can I epoxy over it with it a nice finish in one more coat? I need advice.

yes, this does work. Sharp razor blade and only take as much as you need. Recoat and deliver. Good luck!

I've cut out lint sevral times. As Terry said, take out only as much a necessary and then recoat. Not a problem. Just an agravation.

Make sure you get the oil off it with alcohol if you use a new razor blade. Don't want any fish eyes.

Slice & recoat...easy peasy. Plenty of time for a Christmas rod.
