Guys, im in a dilema, recently i bought a 7' 3 pc 10-20lb travel blank from one of the world largest rod building supplier. I want to make it into a spinning rod but the length is towards my disadvantage. Is there a way to crop the blank yet make it well balanced? Any professional advice?

Batson has shorter travel rods, can't really shorten the overall length of what you have as the center section has to stay the same length to allow the other pieces to fit right. I don't understand what you mean by well balanced, it could mean many things in rodbuilding. Re: MHX Travel Rod

Well balanced refers to .. when i mount the guides & my desired reel..the rod tip should not feel heavy? correct me if im wrong. Btw, any rod building masters can advise how shld i keep or maintain the shelf life of U-40 perma gloss? ______________________________________ A seller's trash is another buyer's treasure...
