how does this dryer work?

I'm not sure about the right side of the picture, but the left side looks like you could use rubber bands to center the blank or grip, like you would on a homemade PVC chuck. David Dosser Coshocton, OH Re: how does this dryer work?

Bob,
It appears that you have a two rod dryer. It would seem that in use, the flat disk would fit against the back plate. Then, install a pair of rubber bands diagonally across the chuck. Capture the butt of the rod in the X formed by the crossed rubber bands. Possibly, to be sure you might have to have 4 bands on the chuck to hold the grip secure in the chuck.
