Screen roller insertion tool !

Have you ever had a late day to finish up a delivery for a client. It may be a part, a tool, a rod, reel or some other special product that needs to ship the next morning.

But you look around and find that you don't have the right box to get the product shipped?

If so, you might consider having a roller tool handy that is commonly used to install screens in windows:

-------------------
This has happened to me on previous occasions so I go to the local hardware store and pick up discarded boxes and cardboard from their shipping department. I keep an assortment around to handle such emergencies.

The reason that I bring up the spline installation roller is that I was faced with such an issue.

If you have a flat piece of cardboard, you can simply put a straight edge along the length of any of the corrugations, and easily fold the cardboard to from a side.
But, if you have to bend perpendicular to the corrugations, it is tough to get a nice clean edge.
Here is where you use the spine roller.

Just take an lay your straight edge on the line you want to bend. Run the spine roller over the corrugations a couple of times to flatten them. Then it is trivial to bend the cardboard on your newly made line to form the rest of your shipping box.

Give it a try. It may solve an emergency shipment sometime for you.
