So ran across a couple pics in the photos section of people who are making carbon fiber handles and also incorporating the reel seat as part of the handle.
[www.rodbuilding.org] How in the world are they doing that.. Looks awesome. Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

Those are elegantly simple - and likely to be ergonomic. Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

My problem with them is they look very slippery. a little fish slime and you could have a hard time holding on to one Kevin Gross Many men will spend their whole life wondering if they made a difference. Marines dont have that problem - Ronald Regan Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

Not true at all. Smooth and slippery are not the same thing. If you understand ergonomics you know that size and shape play the major role in how difficult (or easy) it is to hold onto something.
Have you ever used a hammer with one of those smooth, highly varnished, wooden handles that have been popular for a couple hundred years? Ever tried one in the rain? They're not the least bit slippery, dry or wet. ................ Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

More grip than cork when wet. _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. Mike, how do you cut out the pocket for the fixed hood recess? That looks fantastic and super comfortable. With the new Aero 17, I think that may just be what I am looking for. Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

Thanks. I figured between the Aero 17 and the VSS 17, that would be close to an almost perfect ergonomic fit. No cutting required? Re: Carbon Fiber Handles... integrating the reel seat ????

Or are you cutting that out ???? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
