Jim,
Out of curiosity, could you put a rod on the stand and in the Chuck on the dryer and post a picture?

The chuck is an interesting design and I would like to see what a close up of the handle looks like when it is in the chuck.

Thanks for your help.

Roger

Roger: Just found out we got hand wrappers in this order and not finishing motors. As soon as they arrive I'll post a pic of the chuck in action. It works very well and comes with vinyl sleeves so it can grab a blank as well as a full sized handle.

Mike: Additional stands are available, but the wooden base only comes in a single length as shown and as far as we know is not sold separately. That was my only complaint about the product. I will eventually build a 7 or 8 foot base and get a couple of extra stands. Fortunately it looks like a very simple design.

Any chance that the chuck will be available by itself?

The chuck/motor/metal base is sold as a single unit. No wooden track. Designed to swap out of the wooden wrapper base at finishing time.
