Got a chance to fish my QLSJ780 again yesterday - the more I fish it the more I like it. Used if for finesse fishing smallies and it was excellent. Very light weight, excellent sensitivity. My biggest fish was a really fat 16" smallie that I was able to move out of the stump he was hiding around - good power for a light rod.

I also finished a build with a QLP841 Popping blank, and it feels excellent as well.

So far the thing that stands out with these blanks is that they have enough flex to make them excellent fish fighting tools, which is often lost on a lot of high mod, super fast rods.

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

Karen, why are they calling the popping blanks a freshwater blank? To me a popping blank is an inshore salt water blank.

Mr. Brunt,
The Quickline Popping blanks are not specific to fresh or saltwater but rather to any application where a popping action is desired. The "freshwater blanks" copy on the spec sheet and web banner is simply intended to target the larger market of bass/freshwater anglers to be completely honest. Take care.
