I had some left over flex coat and tied to speed the drying time. I always do 1 very light coat then another to cover adequately. I have one of those electric radiators and turned it up to max . In a matter of 20 m inutes the temp in the room was about 85degrees. I applied the skim coat and in about 3 hours the flex coat was stone hard but still a little sticky. Im leaving in the room for one more hour. If its not sticky Ill add my second coat. Anyone see anything wrong with this approach? This sure beats letting it dry in the conventional manner.

For every 20 increase in temp from about 70F, you halve the set and cure time.

I do this all the time. In a small room I start up a small heater. You can put multiple coats on in the same day easily.

Maryann,
I always turn on the extra heat in the rod room when I am doing finish work. I like to keep the room at 80-85 during finish drying time.
