Ive been blown away buy the cost of shipping over sized rods . A $100 10 ft rod would cost almost double to ship. There has to be a cheaper way to get to these items sent . How about some some suggestions . PS would anyone be interested in buying a shipping container of over sized rods lol

Maryann,
Have you checked into Yellow Freight?
Or, any other freight carrier?

This isn't much help but anytime I order rods 7 foot or longer my shipping bill, with other parts is always $30.00 or more. I remember the day when if you ordered over $1,000.00 worth of parts, shipping was free........ I also remember really good cork rings that were really cheap.............

Unfortunately, there is no cheaper way. Anything over 10 feet is best bought in multiples so you can break the shipping charge down among several blanks.

Or, you can attend the 2013 Expo and buy a long one-piece blank with no shipping charge to worry about. Of course, if you're not driving this may not work out for you.

I know people think a one piece is better But why not a two piece The way and materials blanks are made of today a two pc is just as good as a one pc And cheaper IMHO
