Got some sanded blanks from Mudhole clearance , and was thinking to coat them blanks ,give them a bit of luster. Any one used a good product for this purpose please let me know.

Chris,
Another option is to polish them.
Then, build the rod.
After building the rod and coating it, then use a hard wax to coat the blank and then polish out the wax.
