I ran acrossa Dunlap lathe for a good price but have not been able to get ahold of the owner. Does any one know if it will accept a jacobs chuck?

Depends on the model. Dunlap made a variety of very good medium duty lathes for many, many years.

I had a Dunlap wood lathe for years and really liked it. mine took a Jacobs chuck on a #1 Morse taper. I picked the chuck up from Sears catalog but I think Penn State carries them also.

Bill

I also have an old Dunlap wood lathe. My chuck was purchased from Penn State Industries and also has a #1 Morse taper mount.

Thanks guys. I finally was able to get a hold of the seller, it does not have the taper but I bought it any how. The price was very good.
