Have any of you guys had a logo designed. I'd like to have something done that I can put on raffle rods and business cards and such. I don't put anything identifying me on customer rods. What is the best way to design one with out having to shell out a bunch of cash. I was thinking of going down to one of the tattoo shops and having them draw one up. If I do this, will I be able to transfer it to digital? Re: Logo Design

If you are handy with a computer you can design your own quite easily. Programs like Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop work well. Some decal shops do have specific format requirements, so you might consult with them before you start. Call the Decal Connection (sponsor on left) and talk with them-they are expert and very helpful in communicating what they can do, the costs, formats, the whole enchilada. If you do have a tatoo shop or other design it so that you have a "picture" and not a computer file, Decal Connection can scan it into the right format for them to make decals of it. One advantage to having a pro shop do the final decals is that you will not be limited on colors as you will be with an inkjet printer. So it's back to do it yourself for least cost, or have the pros do it for the best product, but higher cost. Past issues of Rodmaker Magazine have covered the making of your own quite well.
