weaving

I do some thread weaving (script) on my rods from time to time.
I use white thread for the lettering and red for the wrapping.
After the finish is dry there is always a distinct difference where
the white thread was used.
Wondering if there is a better way to do this?
Mega thanks, Stan Yerger

You mean the red is a shade brighter where it has been wrapped over the white?

If like Tom said - the red thread appears brighter, that tends to happen when you wrap plain (non ncp) red thread over white ncp thread. If this is the issue, then consider using red ncp thread for the wrapping thread.

Just a thought but what if you prime under the wrap with white paint ? I've done this for making lighter colors brighter( Especially white and yellow). I'm still a novice so this might be a dumb thought.
