Does anyone live close enough to Southbury, CT to help me out with a situation? I built 2 spinning rods for a client for birthday gifts to his friends and he said one had the tip broken off in transit. I know they were packed well enough but he won't pay the invoice till I can fix them. The shipping back and forth for these 6 foot one piece rods is $25+ each way so I am hoping I can find a fellow rodbuilder out there local to this guy to replace a tip, wind and finish it with epoxy for me. Only an inch was broken off. I will pay you you of course for your services. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks in advance.

If your are sure your rods were packed correctly, I would pay the $25 shipping for the return of both rods. Then inform him that his rods are ready for pick up when repaired.Let him send a messenger for transport and assume the responsabilty for damages in transit. Let "Cash on the barrelhead" be you mission statment for future transactions.
