Thread Colors for St. Croix SCV blank

Does anyone have any suggestions for thread colors for and St. Croix SCV blank? It is the flat blue green color. I prefer complimentary colors. I'm not to high on contrasting colors but will listen to all ideas.

Thanks,
Ron

I'm currently working on an SVC rod that is the Flip blue/green color. After a lot of testing of many colors I came up with two that I think work well. They compliment the color of the rod very well but they aren't subtle. They are Gudebrod HT 9060 which is a muticolor metalic. The complimentry color is Gudebrod 245 Nylon, which is a medium blue color. I probably bought 10 spools of thread before I got to this combination. It's not for everyone but I'm building this rod for myself and I tthink it looks good with this unusual colored rod.

Madeira "beetle green" is almost the same color as the blank.

Gudebrod blue dun without CP. Looks like it melts right into the blue green flip blanks. Paint the guide feet black and it doesn't look like there's any thread at all. Tiny pale green metallic trim bands and I don't think you could get a classier looking rod.

The dark blue in Billy Vivonas royal blue shade pack is perfect. I just built a sc V. Love it

I like to pick up the green in the flip blanks. I use gudebrod Dark Green without CP, and Lime Green Metalic for trim.
