We are FINALLY back in stock in Box Elder Burl in Red, Blue, Black and Green in reel seat blanks and Blue in the rod handle blank size. This rare burl is becoming very hard to find in any quantity. We have listed the stock on our website and will be listing more in the next few days as we finish the blanks and get them through photography. Please check them out when you get a few minutes. As always your comments and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Every time I visit your site the nicest pieces of each wood type have already been sold.
This has been the case for years. It's a little disheartening to say the least.
It seems that some people get first choice before the rest go on sale.

David: You have the same opportunity as anyone else. No one gets an opportunity to "cherry pick" the stock and we don't put inventory on the website and then mark it sold. We add replacement stock as quickly as we can. Sorry if you've been disappointed.

Box elder, AKA black maple, is a common and widespread "weed" tree in back yards and weed lots across the northeast unless city ordinances ban their presence. In my experience "burls" are quite common in box elders, and I have cut and sent a whole lot of of truckloads of box elder to the dump. I'm puzzled by what seems to be a violation of the law of supply and demand - but then I remember oil prices.

Bill...

It's just my luck that every time I look to buy a burl the ones I really like have been sold.
I'm not kidding... every single time!

This year my luck will change.
