Hi all, I did a search but the comments were from a while ago and many things seemed to have changed since then.
I am building my first tuna rod for someone. It will be a stand-up trolling rod, he fishes from a 26ft CC off of North Carolina for YFT, kings, etc. I am thinking straight butt with roller guides, he fishes mono. Any advice greatly appreciated! Scott,
I build MANY rods for that area. I fish out of Morehead. You want to go with the Batson FSU56h for 30's (turbo guides only but good for sails, kings and whites), FSU56xh for 50 class good for YFT, marlin and kings and good for rollers, or the FSU56XXH for the 80. If you have any questions, or need blanks and guides, feel free to get up with me.
