Hello
I am to build a TFO BVK 8'6" #4 rod, and i want to use singel foot guides. But what size guides should i use? SAGE SLT 8'6" #4 is made up with this setup 2/0t 2/0t 2/0t 1/0t 1/0t 1t 2 3 10t But wits std. snake guides. So my question, what size singel foot guide is the same size as the snake guides? Best regards Martin Honoré PS: I want to use REC recoil guides. Re: Guide sizing

Martin,
Snake and single foots are the same approximate inside dia. You may have trouble finding the small single foots in which case use #1 light wire and you'll still have less moving mass. If you do find the smaller sizes, Please let me know where you found them Eugene Moore Re: Guide sizing

OK, From CUI i have bought 1/0 size singel foot guides, and all sizes up to 5 so i think i will go wite 4 #1/0, 2 #1, 1 #2, 1#3 and a size 10 stripping guide, should give a very light rod!
The reel seat is made from a Pacific Bay U5 skeleton with a insert made from Burl Kork, the weight of the seat is ½ oz. And a blank weight of 1,39 oz gives a esitmated weight of 2.5 to 3 oz when finished. Best regards Martin Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
