Purple Heart Anglers

Many of you know I'm retired military and support most any military causes that come my way. Several years ago, a grass roots group in D.C. area started taking wounded military on fishing trips locally. I made and gave rods for them. Recently I became aware of Purple Heart Anglers. It is an organization in Northern California that takes wounded military people fishing. That costs money so they raise funds to cover expenses. It's a legitimate 501(c) company. I donate one rod per year for their fund raising efforts
Recently, Randy the lead of the organizaion, announced that the partners will be buying and opening an old and popular bait & tackle shop in Half Moon Bay. All the profits will go to supporting the organization of Purple Heart Anglers. I'm going to place several of my freshwater rods on display for sale at this new store. If you're interested in doing so also contact Randy at the organization website. www.purpleheartanglers.org
See ya'll at the ICRBE !

David,

Thanks for the heads-up about the PHA folks!

BTW, I'm stuck at the Ramada in Reno and I would love to talk shop with a fellow builder.
If your not busy give me a shout. OK! Your email is hidden on the forum.

Ran into Randy Houston outside of BassPro last week. My wife and I talked to him a little bit about the program. Love the fact its local.

I'll be donating a rod soon to the cause!
