You can spiral wrap a blank with any number of pieces, no difference between a spiral or top guide rod. Re: Spiral Wrap a Two Piece

Yes! Like Spencer said. However, it really does depend on what spiral config you use and how well you implement it.
A well implemented spiral will not show any side measurable pressure on the guide train so using either a one piece or multi-piece blank is of no consiquence. Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Re: Spiral Wrap a Two Piece

No problem, I've done both simple and revolver style on 2-piece rods and have no issues. I have a set of rods set up as simple spirals with the bumper guide as the last guide on the bottom section. They work fine and you can turn the top section over and it becomes a guides on top rod by not using the bumper guide. Makes it really easy to show the difference between a conventional and a spiral.

Gabe,
The only thing on a spiral wrap of a two pice rod, you might be best served if you insure that you have an alignment mark to assist with the rod assembly. Sometimes it may not be entirely obvious on the alignment of a 2 piece spiral rod. Good luck Roger Re: Spiral Wrap a Two Piece

I just wrapped a Batson BP1024F which is a two piece salmon trolling rod with a spiral. My 3rd rod ever and my first spiral wrap. I used a 4 guide transition. I'd say it is possible! Re: Spiral Wrap a Two Piece

Thanks guys... Just wanted to clarify so that the pressure from the line doesnt torque the tip section. ------------------ Gabe (N.E.R.B.S Mascot) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
