My first Acid Rod Wrap

I have a friend asking me to do an Acid Rod Wrap then type that as the guides set in a spiral on the rod. My question is is there a site that can give me specs or measurements on spacing and how far they spiral around on the rod. It looks pretty strait forward just looking for some measurements so I do it right.

Thanks
Jeff

If you'll do a search here on "spiral wrap" you'll find enough information to keep you busy for a few days. Enjoy.

LOL, yes you will.

To begin with, try laying them out like a spinning rod, 1st (stripper) guide is at or near 0degrees, the tip is 180. Use the template it will help tremendously, or it did for me anyway.

That is good info so the guides past the stripping guide are all the same size up to the tip, is that for all rods?

Lets say... The stripper was a size 20.. Then all of your running guides would be... lets say a size 10. (just throwing that out there but i do build rods with those exact numbers.)

So yeah. the stripper is one size. and all the other guides are another size but all the same.
so..
20
10
10
10
10
10
10
10 depending on what kind of rod you are using... knots to be passed ect..
