In a previous thread I tried to locate this discontinued rod. To date I have not found one available. I am still trying to purchase one for my customer.
Lamiglas will make me a special run of the CGBT 84 3M. ***Travel Series, Tri-Flex, composite, 3 piece, 7', 15-30 # line,*** I build on the 1 piece plank, CGBT841M for fishing heavy weight, strong current, big fish off the eastern waters of Long Island (Montauk and Orient Point). 14-20 oz sinker loads is a piece of cake. 3 way swivel bucktailing blues and striped bass, black fish (tog), live lining with bait or eels. Some cod fish with it. BUT, I have to guarantee LAMIGLAS a purchase of a 12 blank minimum. Are there other builders on this site that would be willing to place an order for the CGBT 84 3M? If so I will get the pricing structure from a distributor and post it. Of course shipping would also be your cost. I am not doing this for profit. If any sponsors of this web site, dealing with Lamiglas, would like to take this task on that would be great and the best way to accomplish the task. Can I get orders for 12 of the Lamiglas CGBT 84 3M blanks? Thank you. Capt Neil Faulkner Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/17/2011 06:49AM by Capt Neil Faulkner. I always have a tough time with Lamiglas numbers.
Would this be composite, graphite, boat, trolling, 7 foot, medium, 3-piece?? As in 30# class, travel series, tri-flex?? Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: Lamiglas CGBT 841 3M special production run.

I just bought four tri-flexs and a 3-piece travel rod. Still it is hard to come by a travel rod is that strong a class. So I reckon I could be interested if it is within my reach. I should update my email but I think it will be forwarded on. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: Lamiglas CGBT 841 3M special production run.

I will contact my distributor on Monday and see if they are interested in ordering a dozen for us. I was hoping a sponsor on this site might offer to help. As soon as I have the cost of the blanks I will post here.
The 3 piece is a bit different than the one piece model and that is expected. This blank model is very strong and handles 14-20 oz sinkers easily. My anglers us it in heavy current for big bass and blue off the east end of Long Island. Stay tuned. Neil Capt Neil Faulkner Re: Lamiglas CGBT 841 3M special production run.

Hi,
The last time the blanks were available to me, still in lami production, my wholesale cost was $109.30. I think that was 2 years ago. Hopefully the distributor will get me some answers tomorrow or in a few days. Sad that Lamiglas stopped production of their travel rods due to lack of customer interest. Angler's had half a barrel full of the 20 and 30 lb versions if I remember right, they have been available for a few years now, I last used a 20 lb version about a year ago for a peacock rod for a fellow that wanted to throw big plugs. They were selling in the $50 range. They could of course all be gone, I've posted info about them here a couple times. Re: Lamiglas CGBT 841 3M special production run.

Hi Spencer,
I took a shot and called Anglers just in case. No luck. I bet some where there is a small shop with a couple laying around. Capt Neil Faulkner Re: Lamiglas CGBT 841 3M special production run.

Hi gang,
My distributor emailed me the price it would cost me to order the special production of the lamiglas CGBT 84 3m blanks. $162.79!!! Now I understand why they were not selling. Based on that price I am not willing to run the risk of being stuck with very good blanks but also very expensive blanks that are not in demand. I want to thank all of you who replied. It was a good idea but too expensive. Other companies have good blanks and they incorporate newer technologies in their product and for less money. Have a very Merry Christmas everyone! Hi,
I called Batson, as I usually do, after it was suggested that I look into their SWT70H-3. After speaking with Adam I have suggested their blank to my customer. Let's see what happens. Took awhile to get here and that is fine. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
