I know that trimming a blank will void the warranty. How about extending. In my mind, you're not altering the blank. But my mind's logic doesn't always click with business logic. AC FishinFreaks Rogers, MN Re: Extend a blank - Void the warranty?

Hi,
If in doubt call the company and ask. I have found different companies respond differently. Capt Neil Faulkner Re: Extend a blank - Void the warranty?

Each company has differing policies. As noted, call the respective manufacturer. You are incorrect as to trimming a blank ... that is also respective of the manufacturer. I have been told by more than one manufacturer that it IS acceptable to do so. At the same time, I have also been told that ANY modification (even removing/covering a silkscreen logo) would void any warranty. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
