How do you get all the epoxy off a blank after removing a guide

I very gently heat the blank and scrape it off with something like a credit card . If your going to place the guide in the same position I have heard of sanding while the rod is turning > Have a friend that does that and never has had a problem i wouldn't do it.

Gentle heat and a plastic picnic knife or old dull butter knife held at 90* to the blank.

Just where the guides are you should heat it - don't burn it - and it may just come off with you finger nail
butter knife packing tool just make sure the packing tool is in good shape after for thread packing no ruff edges.
