At some point in the past, a potential finish product called AquaShield was highlighted here. What is the status of the product?

For those who use PermaGloss or LumiSeal, which of the two last longer (do not harden as quickly)? Let's assume our significant other frowns on rod finish being stored in the fridge...

Has anyone used DiamondFinish (an auotmotive clear coat)?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving. I appreciate the sharing that goes on this this forum!

Rick

Pretty sure PermaGloss and LumiSeal both last long, but the real question is how you store it. If you store it in the bottles that it comes in it wont last long, but if you store it in a paint can, and have a hole in it that is plugged by a screw. Im not explaining it too well. someone will chime in here.

Just don't store in the Freezer Too cold The fridge is good Take it out and let it get to room temp before using

Opened one of the cans of the kit -- don't smell bad But then the 70's were berry berry good to me LOL

I have both Lumiseal and Permagloss. So far the Lumiseal has been the winner. I'm not sure how much longer it takes but it does seem to last longer before it begins to harden or even just getting hardness near the cap. I've had the Lumiseal for almost 1 year and I've stored it both in the fridge for a while and at my bench for a while. It gels up at the cap but I just clean out the gel and it's perfectly useable and fine. I got the Permagloss about 3 months after the Lumiseal, so I've had it for 9 mos. or so. It gels quicker and harder near the cap. I live in Ohio so the humidity and temp may be affecting the results also but I really like the Lumiseal.
