When doing a single thread inlay on a casting rod, do you start the wrap on underneath side of guide . I want the start and stop to be on bottom side of guide? Thanks in advance. Re: thread inlay question

If the guides are all mounted on the top of the rod, then I would place all tucks, starts and stops on the underside away from the angler's view. If the guides are mounted underneathe as in a spiral wrap or a spinning rod, I would place the tucks on the side opposite the angler's view. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
