Here is what I'm planning on covering this Saturday, 18 guys are attending, and 3 maybes. I wil also have John SM250 discuss blan materials and how they are constructed. There are 2 guys who never built a rod attending, a few who've only wrapped a few, and some who do this for a living. Nice range of skill levels.

- Mistakes you made when you first started building and improved upon. This is going to be an interactive discussion, maybe you chose the wrong blanks, incorrect gripmaterials or sizes, etc. There are several new builders so those who have built rods please think about this topic over the next week, please do not leave it up to me to take for an hour on this topic.
- Shop Layout – those who have a shop or a neat set up, please bring photos. Storage ideas, lighting, etc.
- Guide prep, guide layout, choosing the correct guides for certain types of rods
- Decorative Wraps
- Decorative Grips Q & A – if you want to see something, please think about what and ask. This will be the last subject and I might not have time to go through everything, but if you want to learn something you have to ask.
- Getting a wood lathe, what do you need.
- Building a heavy bottom fishing rod for Grouper & Snapper. Blanks, components, guides, handle assembly.
