Standard RodBond takes a solid 24 hours to set up hard enough to do that. QuickBond takes about 6 to 8 hours to get that hardness.

David,
With any type epoxy - including rod bond - I would wait at least a week before I would attempt anything like drilling and tapping the epoxy. Sure it will set up and get hard in 24 hours, but for something like tapping, I certainly like to let the glue set long enough to be as hard as it is ever going to get. p.s. If I were going to be doing drilling and tapping and wanted to actually screw in a fastner to hold something solid, I might even consider the use of something like JB weld. An epoxy like JB weld is formulated exactly for use by drilling and tapping. [www.ytmag.com] Take care Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
