Pics of Fuji SK2 spinning?

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone has any pics available that they can share of a custom spinning rod finished with the Fuji SK2 reel seat? I'm seriously considering using these new seats for my next two builds and wanted to get an idea what they looked when finished. Thank you, Al

Ricky, thanks for posting the pic. What are your thoughts on the reel seat. Do you find them uncomfortable?

Build a rod with one -- use it and make your own decision on it

not so much uncomfortable but are very small feeling in your hand. that one is on a light panfish rod that i do not normally grip tight or fish for more than a couple hours at a time so it works well for that. on a med.or larger rod i like the aero reelseats. but i also just put a 16 aluminum triagle seet on a dropshot rod. Mr. Broettcher is right. best way is to get one put it on the blank see if you like it before you glue it on.

The seats are amazing! I think they are the most comforatale reel seats I have used. Not threads for your hands to rub on either.

What grips are those? I like that setup a lot. I plan on using SK2 seats on my UL rod paired with a Pflueger Patriarch Spinning.

They are custom carbon fiber grips.

I have used aero seats a lot in the past. I just do not prefer them. Plus these rods are for side drifting steelhead so light weight is very important.

Bill I think what is comfortable is a matter of personal preference. I personally dont like the feel of the aero seats but find the pacbay minimas to feel good in my hand I have even cut the center section out of your standard straight spinning seat and like the way that feels as well. again simply a matter of preference.

I've always used regular Fuji reel seats. The Aero's hump is odd to me, not sure how I'll like it while fishing. Havent had my rod on the water with it yet. The Fuji SK2 look just as comfortable as a regular spinning seat. Time will tell.
