Hi,

Does anyone know where to get hold of Andy Dear? The Lamar site is not of any use anymore :-(

Thanks,
Thomas Schreiber

Call Scott @ Fishsticks, he bought Andy's business interests.

Well. I live in Denmark, and to call someone in the US is a bit pricy. I'll try to contact Scott via mail. If anyone knows something about it, I'm looking for the mandrels to turn handles on.

Btw. What happened to Andy?

Fishsticks has the mandrels. Scott bought the businesses from Andy a few years ago. He is no longer involved in rodbuilding

Absolutely FABULOUS craftsmanship. I own mandrels from a variety of sources, Lynn @ Backlash is my favorite.

Thanks, I'll have a look at it. Does anyone now what the shipment costs to Europe is?

You'd have to ask the supplier for that information.

I had Lynn make me 2 custom threaded mandrels, one at 3/4 and one at 7/8. You won't be disappointed.

Funny, on a personal level, I was just wondering the other day what Andy was doing. Strange that he wouldn't be in the industry.

Never met him but talked with him on the phone. I gathered that Andy never had short phone conversations. After a couple of minutes he was warm and charming and felt like you were talking to your new best friend.

I'm sure he'll be successful at whatever path he takes.
