How much to elongate?

I am doing the Rose pattern from Billy's book and it calls for elongating the pattern. The butt wraps I have done to date have been straight squares so I don't have experience to draw on. My blank is 25mm diameter at the center of the wrap and I plan to do 6 passes. How much should I elongate this measurement to get a good pattern?

Well, unless I hear differently i am going to strecth my 25mm to 30mm. That is a 20% elongation. We'll see if that is enough.

20% should be plenty. I did one a while back which was based on 20% and the shape and size worked out pretty well spot on.

I will multipl the spacings by either 1.25 or 1.5. You are on the right track with a 20% increase, because the photos of The Rose wrap in the book are 20% elongated.

PS: I will answer all questions about wraps on the forums, I prefer to do that as opposed to direct e-mail, but it a day passes and you do not hear form me e-mail me and give me a head's up,

This post reminded me to ask a question. How do you elongate a pattern in Visual Wrap? I'm not great with the builder part of the program so I probably missed some thing simple, but is there a function in the builder that will figure the percentage for you?
