I have a request to build a 2pc 7-7.6ft rod for snappers.
This will go to N.Z. hence the 2pc or 3pc Spinning rod Currently the customer is using a couple of dropshot rods and likes the action. Using 15lb braid and bottum fishing with plastics. I really don't have any experience building this type of rod. I am looking for blank recomendations. I looked for 7-7.6ft 15lb 2 and 3pc blanks and came up with the following MHXSJ843-2 / P844-2 StCroix 2S70HF2 Lamiglas GSH902MT Batson IP843F - IP844F Any thoughts? Thanks Jeff Miller Re: 2pc Snapper Rod

If the thought is "fast" action, I suggest the Batson IC847-3, or SB843-3, SB845-3.

Look here ... [stcroixrods.com].
Very well respected, St Croix Inshore Travel Blanks. It doesn't get much better. You can even find matching cases here ... [stcroixrods.com] Re: 2pc Snapper Rod

And if you are looking for a very nice 3 piece for travel purposes, check the Rainshadow SWT series. I have several for Mexico trips and in my opinion they are under rated as far as line weight. I also saw a neat travel case for up to three, three or two piece rods. Carry on use only, clear acrylic with locking caps and removable carry strap. The clear acrylic is pretty neat, TSA can see what's inside and there is no need to unpack and repack. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
