Even Isopropyl will work fine for that.

Don,
Try each and see which one works better.

Basically, any quick evaporating, non residue leaving, grease and mark removing solvent will work fine for your blanks.

Take care
REW

p.s.
If you happen to have some hard stains to remove, go to your local auto parts store and buy brake parts cleaner. They now sell non toxic brake parts cleaner that is very very effective in cleaning up anything from grease and other marks.
Normally, you never have to go to this extreme, but if you do have the need, it is nice to have another stronger - non toxic option.

I have painted many cars over the years and had a very well known pro give me a tip. Prior to painting clean the car with Windex. At first I thought he was nuts then I started thinking about it. Windex is designed to remove grease and dirt but leave no residue.

I tried it and have never had an issue. Its the last thing I do before I paint any vehicle or part. Works great!!!!!

Casey,
I couldn't sgree more. Windex is a great product that I use all of the time for cleaning just about everything, including my rods.

It degreases, leaves no residue and just simply works.

Roger
