Hi David,
Your not but the customer might be. You''ll probably get to replace a tip in a couple of months. Ask him why he wants a roller tip on a jigging rod and explain the down side.

i already told him that the movement of the rod tip during jigging there could be a possibility that the line could get fouled up,along with other disadvantages such as being heavy etc. he doesn't seem to budge an inch in his thinking...so i thought maybe i was missing a specfic application that im not familiar with

No, I don't think you're missing anything. Roller tip for this is not the best solution - a good ceramic is.

David, maybe you should suggest to him that he go the whole hog and get a fully rollered jigging rod. It'd certainly be different.

On the flip side, must be a reason that he is asking for that. I'd talk about it with him then give him what he wants. Never know, he may be happier than a pig in the mud with it.
