Does anyone make wheels out of UHMW plastic that can be used on home made supports? Re: Wheels for supports

Larry, Not sure what UHMW is, but I made some rollers out of replacement wheels for sliding doors. The wheels are the type designed to fit into a recess on the top and bottom of the door, and are sturdy enough to take the door's weight. They are made from a hard plastic, have a ball bearing in the middle, and are grooved to ride on the track of the door frame. Slip a rubber O-ring over the wheel to sit in its groove and it is a nice solution. I got mine from the local hardware store cheaply. Regards Dave Boyle Re: Wheels for supports

Hi Larry- I have UHMW in 1", 1.5" and 2" diameter rod. If you want to post your specs, I'd be happy to machine some for you. I also have o-rings for the rod-contact surface. Let me know the following: 1)Shaft diameter you will mount wheels on 2)Desired wheel diameter Tom Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
