They are very nice. Which model are you looking for info on? I have a number of them in stock and would be glad to answer any questions. Tight Lines and Bull's-eyes, Get Bit Outdoors 407-542-7840 www.GetBitOutdoors.com www.facebook.com/GetBitOutdoors Re: fly blanks

Very good blank if you like fast action rods. Now that Batson (unfortunately) discontinued the RX 8+ blanks, the RX 8 blank is my favorite in the 6wt to 9 wt range, particularly for saltwater. They are a little on the stiff side but will cast a mile and have a strong butt section. I have built on a number of them and personally have a 6wt and an 8wt. Edited 1 time(s). I have an RX8+ 9 1/2 foot 7wt (4 piece) which I love. I use it mostly for saltwater (stripers and blues). It has completely replaced my St Croix Legend 9wt and 7wt for that purpose. It is a fast rod but very castable. I have a couple other fast rods from other manufactures (9wt and 6wt) that I never cared. I am not a slave to using just the line weights the rod was designed for and this will cast 6 through 8wts without a problem. I know the RX8+ were made in the USA and the RX8 were not. Otherwise I think they are similar.

In my opinion, the RX 8+ and the RX 8 are very different rods. I have built on both and have both in an 8wt. The RX 8+, which is no longer available, is a much more sensitive rod and casts very smoothly for a fast action rod. The RX 8 is even faster and has a less refined feel.
