I was speculating on how much more weight a rod will have with an tiger wrap about 6 inch, and a deco. wrap about 200 mm long, after the a couple coats of epoxy?, and does those wraps the tiger and the decorative wraps deaden the sensitivity of the rod significantly? Well I do know it does add weight, enough that I rarely do anythuing like that for rods that I know will be used for tournaments. I also stripped some rods this past winter to go to micro guides and also took off the long butt wraps I had on, it took off alot of weight and the rods feel totally new and perform so much better. I think so to, I rewraped a St.Croix Extreme rod, and added a tiger wrap and a deco wrap, boy did that make a lot of difference in weight!,also a crankin rod and I noticed that the tiger wrap and the deco wrap I put on it deadened the sensitivity on it, But I was wondering if anyone knew about how much more weight like in grams, or maybe oz's if the wraps are big enough, I don't think it really matters, just as long as I know now that it significantly changes the rod performance. lorenzo the best thing to do is get an eletric gram scale or small electric scale for cooking or something and weigh the rod before and after. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
