Trolling rod blank

Just a quick question. We are building 4 x 15-40 lb rods for trolling for kings, any blank suggestions. Has to have a soft tip, and 6 feet . Would prefer composites. Thought about the calstar GF 600L, or the seeker 660L, need to know which one will hold up better in a rod holder. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

There are a lot of very good ones, including those you already have listed. I like the Seeker CLB series, although these fall into the 7 foot range. CLB704 or 706 for your application. They are primarily designed for live bait however, so may not be exactly what you want.

CLB708 is popular on the West Coast of Florida. Again, it is 7'0", not nearly as short as you indicated.

If you can handle 7 foot consider the rainshadow rclb line. I love them for drifting for kingfish.

Has to be under 6ft, but also has to have a unibutt, or slickbutt Client loves the SEEKER CTS60H action and wants a lighter rod 20 lb line with the same action. Have thought about the calstar 195 or the seeker tsf55xl or the seeker 665L, Cant seem to find any blanks with a moderate action and under 6ft.
