Thanks to everyone that recommended I use Thread Master finish for my rods. I now have glass smooth, bubble free results regardless of what I am trying to apply it to. Over the threads, no problem, over the decal, no problem.
Thanks Again Mike Molenda Re: Thread Master Bliss

I have been happy with it ever since Lance at Swampland recommend I try it. Very worm (Novice) friendly. Re: Thread Master Bliss

I use TM Light and Regular depending on the build Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Thread Master Bliss

I've gone back to using TM Lite & can't figure out why I swapped. Re: Thread Master Bliss

One thing I have noticed is that Threadmaster light takes longer to set up. Regular Threadmaster will be pretty solid after a day while the light formula is still soft.

Yes, indeed.
The Light formula takes much much longer to cure and I swear it evaporates or penetrates the threads (even with CP) or something so that when it starts turning the entire wrap is coated and when it is dry, there are some spots on the wrap that are "lower" or "thinner" than others. I also do not think it is rock hard durable as the regular, so I only use it for a first coat. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
