Dryer rod rest using rollers?

I was just thinking about a bit of a different design for a dryer rod roller rest.
Rather than using the conventional side by side rollers nearly touching for the bottom of the rod, or overlapping rollers mounted on the opposite sides of a bar: I was thinking of using a set of three rollers on a single bar for a dryer rest. That is, two rollers spaced apart to allow the rod to come down between the rollers and then have the single third roller mounted in the center below the two spaced out rollers. Obviiously this rest would not be used for thin rod tip sections, but thought it might work well for a dryer rest where you want a free turning rest, that is simple but still tends to capture the rod to keep it in place? It will only take a few minutes to build one up and I will try it, but was wondering if anyone had ever tired this designe before with success? Thanks for any thoughts: Roger Edited 1 time(s).
