I use carnuaba wax - Meguiar's to be exact. It does a great job and holds up very well. Re: Rod polish

I use Collonite Liquid Insulator Wax (No. 845). It is a liquid and it don't chalk up. Holds up good. Use there other products on my boat and it still beads water at the end of the season. Freddwhy (Rapt-Ryte) Re: Rod polish

Jim G.
Do you apply it with a soft cloth like you would on a car? And do you apply it to the entire rod even if it is, for example, a slate blank? And finally, how do you keep it from "caking" in places like around the guides? Thanks. Re: Rod polish

Charles?
Meguiar's Carnauba is a liquid, it doesn't cake. I apply it to the entire rod (sans grips), including guide frames, etc. I rub it on with a soft cotton cloth and buff with a clean one. It lasts for quite awhile AND it protects very well. Jim - Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
