Glass Blanks

Hi there
I am planning on building some crankbait rods on some glass blanks.
I will be using micros and would like to try a spiral wrap on one of them.

I did a search on the site and saw one thread where they suggested not to do a spiral on a glass crankbait rod.
Can someone shed some light as to why no spiral on these blanks? Just looking to expand my knowledge and make better choices on my builds.

Thanks!

I see no reason why it can't be done, I have two glass rods built that way.

I can't think of a reason either.

Hasn't caused any problems on the ones I've done either. I'd like to hear the reason behind that line of thinking.

Spiral wraps on glass guides are fine. I have done several with 0 issues.
Take care

I have rods 5 and 6 on the table waiting for parts that are spirals with micro guides and I have had no problems either.
