I've read the articles on Refinishing a rod blank and on the water break free process. I'm putting new guides and extending the butt on a very old rod, one that I'll use just for down rigger fishing for trout and kokanee. I don't want to put the money for a high end automobile urethane into this rod, has anyone had any experience in a color coat other than what the article talks about? Any help will really be appreciated.

I have refinished two rods with Krylon spray and urethane clear spray all from an aerosol can. Have used them for several months and they look Great. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
