I'm needing a graphite tip section for a spinning rod. I figured maybe one of the builders might have a section where they've messed up or broken the butt section, etc, etc. I'm wanting a charcoal graphite section. The kind that you can see the graphite spirals in the blank. Probably IM6. Of course, IM7 would do.
The measurements on the piece I need are... Length: 40.5" to 41" <> Diameter of butt: approx .272" <> Tip: #4.5 <or> #5 It would be great if the section already has the little rubber plug in it. The original tip section is beyond repair. Original specs on the rod are medium light action. The tip section of a 6.5' rod is approx the right length. I looked through a bunch of rods at a local pawn shop, to no avail. I know, I know, "just build you another" ! But this rod is special.... Q uantum M agnum P lus 5.5' Any help would be appreciated. (USA only) (Knoxville, TN???) (Oops, I just noticed there's a "Wanted" section in the Buy/Sell area. If you need to delete this Tom, no problem. I'll go ahead and post my "Want" there.)
