I want to build a power wrapper. Does anyone know where I can buy or scrounge wheels for the rod supports?

Thanks, John

John,
A common wheel to use is one of the following:
1. Skate board wheel bearings. These are very high quality bearings at a very reasonable cost due to the huge numbers of skate boards on the market.

2. Patio door rollers. These grooved rollers are commonly available in hardware stores and if you choose the right one can have very good bearings. Then, just go to the same stores plumbing department and pick up O rings to fit in the groove to cushion the rods.
You can also use flat O rings available from hardware stores to fit over the skate board rollers to cushion the rod blanks as well.

Take care
Roger

Yep! the wheels used for the bottom on patio screen doors & the like work great and are easily found.

John what type of wrapper do you have now? Almost any kind of wheel can be used with some modification, shopping carts, roller blade wheels and wheels for hanging doors ectra.

If you look at the picture of mine you will see that it has rollerblade bearings with 1 7/8 rubber grommets over them. Mine is not power (yet) but the rollers are super smooth. I popped the bearings out of my kids old skates.
