Temple fork blanks

Hy guys

I got a good customer that was invited to fish for Marlin with -the in-laws - He wants a 16 wt 3-4 piece fly rod to use.
Looking around I found Temple Fork Blue-water series 3 and 4 piece They are a combination of S-glass and IM6 graphite

A heck of a price but seems like a small tip size. 5.5

What do you guys think of these : the 8'6 on the bottom : [www.mudhole.com]

The small glass tip shouldn't present any problem. It'll flex and the body of the blank will do the heavy work.

In essence that will boost leverage for the fisherman.

While TF blanks are not high tech lightweights like CTS they do have a loyal following

and the price is certainly attractive.

Let me look up CTS for the heck of it

Also this guy had found a discontinued Sage blank he was talking about

If I can not find a nice one - for his price I will tell him to get the Sage

I don't want him to be embarrassed in front of the In-Laws ??

Who has CTS blanks ?? OR a 16wt 3-4 piece ??

Check with Scott Parsons at Fishsticks. He carries the CTS Blanks.

The CTS Revo blanks would be my first choice for saltwater fly rods.

While I"m sure they're worth every penny the price might be prohibitive.

David

The customer said he knows of a discontinued Sage 14 wt. Under 200.00

People don't seem to have faith in TFO that I found a 16-17 wt in ???
